“I am very glad I had the chance to experience the beautiful Rottnest Island, and I am definitely considering going back to stay bit longer”
I’ve been living in Perth for couple of months and people been asking me, have I ever been to Rottnest Island? So finally me and my camping girls are decided to visit Rotto over the weekend. We are very lucky to live near Rottnest island – just a short ferry ride away.
The most common way of travelling around the island is through cycling or walking. But we decided to do cycling. The cheap way if you dont want to rent a bike (which is cost 25$/hour) is by bring your own bike (cost another 15$ to put your bike in the ferry)
We were a bit lost in the beginning on where to go, but eventually we found a map of the island and starts making itinerary on what we should do. There were a mission on this trip “Take selfie with Quokka” well congratulation to Petra because she was brave enough to get really close with Quokka and ended up got heaps selfie picture with Quokka. Well done Petra! haha
Then came lunch, we had a very expensive meals in one of the cafe by the beach. It was not worth the price. I ordered fish and chips and it was so tasteless. If you on budget, I suggest you to bring your own lunch and pick a spot to picnic. After our meal, we decided to go cycling. Which was the perfect way to burn all those heavy calories haha. Cycling in Rottnest was one of the highlights of the trip. Being able to cycle around such beautiful scenery, in such clean environment with toxic free air and the sound of the ocean ripple, it felt like the perfect short getaway from reality. It was simply beautiful.
